How to Register & Use the NECO GCE Login
To begin your application, candidates must use the Neco gce login portal to create an account. Follow these steps carefully:
- Create an Account:Â Visit the official NECO SSCE External registration portal and create an account using a valid email or phone number.
- Purchase Quota: Pay the ₦30,000 registration fee into the NECO Treasury Single Account via ATM, internet banking, USSD, wallet, or bank branch.
- Complete Biodata:Â Enter your correct name, date of birth, valid NIN, and state the nature of any special needs.
- Upload Passport:Â Upload a recent passport photograph with a white background (must not be older than 6 months).
- Biometric Capture:Â Visit a reputable cybercafe to complete the compulsory fingerprint capture. You must be physically present.
- Review & Upload:Â Check all entries (names, NIN, subjects, examination neighbourhood). Once confirmed, upload the data. You cannot change your examination neighbourhood after upload.
- Print Documents: Collect your NECO timetable 2026 and at least one clear copy of your NECO photocard from the cybercafe.

Exam Rules & What to Read (NECO Timetable 2026)
Before the exam, candidates must study the examination rules and the Neco gce syllabus thoroughly. You must dress in mufti and arrive at least 30 minutes before each paper.
Items prohibited at the exam centre include:
- Mobile phones, tablets, and iPads
- Programmable calculators, smart wristwatches, and smart glasses
- Smoking and arms of any kind

Important Notes for NECO GCE 2026 Candidates
- NIN is Compulsory:Â Your valid National Identification Number will be inscribed on your certificate.
- Referee Attestation:Â Your photocard must be signed by an approved referee (e.g., School Principal, Ordained Clergyman, Captain-ranked officer, or Grade Level 14 civil servant). NECO state offices no longer stamp attestations.
- One-Time Correction:Â You are allowed a one-time correction before the exam begins (either a name element OR a passport photograph, not both).
- No Multiple Registration:Â Registering more than once will lead to the cancellation of all your results.
