Sule Lamido University (SLU), Kafin Hausa, through the School of Preliminary and Continuing Education (SPACE), has commenced the sale of application forms for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Applications are open for:
- University Preparatory Programme (UPP)
- IJMB and Remedial Programmes
- Part-Time Degree Programmes
UTME is not required for Part-Time Degree admission.
University Preparatory Programme (UPP) Overview
The UPP is designed to:
- Improve academic performance
- Provide intensive academic training
- Prepare candidates for admission into 100-level degree programmes
Programme duration: One academic session.
Result validity: Two admission sessions for candidates who passed but could not fully meet O’Level or UTME requirements immediately.
General Admission Requirements
(A) O’Level Requirement
Prospective candidates must have:
- Minimum of Five (5) relevant credit passes
- Obtained in SSCE or equivalent recognised examination
- Not more than Two (2) sittings
- Must include English Language and Mathematics
(B) Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
In addition to five O’Level credits (including English and Mathematics), candidates must:
- Obtain the minimum required A-Level points
- Acceptable qualifications include NCE, IJMBE, and Diploma
Qualified Direct Entry candidates may be admitted into 200-level.
(C) Top-Up Candidates
In addition to five O’Level credits (including English and Mathematics), candidates must possess:
- HND (Credit level)
OR - B.Sc. (Third Class)
Eligible Top-Up candidates may be admitted into 400-level.
Duration of Degree Programmes
- 100-Level Admission: Minimum of 5 academic sessions
- 200-Level Admission: Minimum of 4 academic sessions
- 400-Level Admission: Minimum of 2 academic sessions
Upon graduation, candidates will be awarded B.Sc. or B.A. degrees.
